Publish (Stage) Changed Assets Only
There are problems in general with this switch that affect not only the BBS. We recommend deselecting this check box when publishing a site that contains a BBS. This checkbox is located in the Configure Publish dialog.

Preview Directory
The Preview directory is much like the Publish Changed Assets Only setting. NetObjects Fusion recreates this directory each time you preview, stage, or publish your site. Removing this directory prior to publishing has been found to eliminate many publishing problems. Before publishing your site with a BBS therefore, we recommend that you first remove the Preview directory.

Page Title BBS Property
Entering a single quote in the Page Title property will break the BBS. Removing any single quotes from this property then republishing your site will repair the damage. Assuming all other settings are valid, your BBS will work after re-publishing. All other settings here refers both to BBS property settings and the BBS environment (file server configuration, web server configuration, Perl5 configuration, etc.).

Double-quote in Name or Subject Field of a New Message
If your site visitor enters a double quote in either the Name or Subject field then submits the new message, the BBS will break. Netscape will display an Alert dialog that indicates a JavaScript error. The BBS will remain broken until fixed by the site administrator.
