SERVER
The basic BBS requirements on the server are as follows:
- If you're publishing to a Unix file server, Perl5 must be installed and functioning. If you're publishing to Windows NT, Perl5 may or may not be installed. The BBS will function in either environment.
- The web server must be able to execute scripts with an extension of 'cgi'.
- The web server must be able to execute cgi scripts from user-defined cgi-bin directories.
- The server should not implement proprietary schemes for executing cgi scripts. An example of this would be a CGI (Perl) wrap where user scripts are included into a master script before script execution.
The BBS has been tested with the following UNIX web servers:
- Netscape FastTrack 2.0 (Solaris)
- Netscape Enterprise 2.0 (Solaris)
- Apache (Linux)
- The BBS has been tested with the following Windows NT web servers:
- Netscape FastTrack 2.0 (NT 4.0)
- Netscape Enterprise 2.0 (NT 4.0)
- IIS 2.0/3.0 (NT 4.0)

The BBS requires a JavaScript compliant (Netscape JavaScript standard) browser.
The BBS has been tested with the following browsers:
- Netscape 3.0 (for NT/Win 95/Mac/Sun)
