LARGE SITE STABILITY

When working with larger sites, stability is now greatly improved. In previous versions, you might experience problems when publishing a large site, or inserting a large template. Version 5.0.2a dynamically increases the database cache size used by the .nod file, only as required. This fix will ensure improved reliability and performance of NetObjects Fusion with larger sites.

Note: NetObjects recommends breaking up sites with more than 250 pages into several .nod files for greater stability and performance.

SITE RECOVERY

The recovery of site files with damaged objects has been improved. In previous versions, if a site’s .nod file became damaged, the backup (.bak) file would be overwritten with the damaged information. But with 5.0.2a, damages within the site file are automatically detected before saving it to the backup file. A dialog is displayed, and NetObjects Fusion will terminate, but it will not save the damaged site to the backup file. The next time the site is opened, NetObjects Fusion will detect that the site had a problem and will automatically recover the previous version of the site.
