INSTABILITY ISSUES

1. When I use Lotus Domino and NetObjects Fusion Connector 1.0 or 1.1 components with NetObjects Fusion 4.0, my migrated site crashes.
Solution: S1498
If you have a site file containing any of the Lotus Domino and NetObjects Fusion Connector (DFC) 1.x components, opening the site in NetObjects Fusion 4.0 results in a crash when you view the page containing the DFC components. Please check the NetObjects Web site for any future updates of the DFC components.

2. When I place multiple data fields in a table, NetObjects Fusion crashes upon preview and fails to generate stacked pages.
Solution: S1540
If you place more than one image data field (or a combination of an image data field and a formatted text data field) in a table on a stacked page, NetObjects Fusion 4.0 crashes if you select Control-Preview for that page. If you attempt to publish the page, the stacked page is not generated.

3. When I undo the creation of a data field inside a text box, NetObjects Fusion crashes.
Solution: S1542
If you create a data field inside a text box on a stacked page and then select the Undo option, NetObjects Fusion crashes.

4. When I do not install NetObjects Fusion Components, NetObjects Fusion returns an error and can crash when opening a component-enabled site.
Solution: S1498
If you have a site or a template that contains components embedded in text boxes or table cells, you must open the site or template with NetObjects Fusion components installed on your computer. If your installation of NetObjects Fusion does not have those components installed, NetObjects Fusion returns the error “Damaged objects have been found and deleted” when you open or import this site or template. NetObjects Fusion will also crash if you mouse over the location (blue insertion icon) where the components were embedded in the text box or table cell. When transferring files or templates to other machines, you must have all components used in that site or template installed on the destination machine.

5. When I select a start value for a bulleted paragraph before assigning the bullet formatting, NetObjects Fusion crashes.
Solution: S1604
When you create a paragraph with bullets, NetObjects Fusion will crash if you select a start value before you select the bullet formatting. On Windows 95 or 98, it will crash immediately upon committing the start value. On Windows NT, you can continue to work and select a numbered bulleted list, but the initial value will not be displayed; if you try to leave Page view, NetObjects Fusion will crash.

6. My system uses Diamond Monster video cards and drivers, and I cannot launch NetObjects Fusion.
Solution: S1245
NetObjects Fusion crashes or hangs on launch if your system is using a Diamond Monster video card with drivers, and acceleration is turned on or your display is set to more than 256 colors.

7. NetObjects Fusion crashes when I try to unlink a rollover component inside a frame; I also get an error when previewing.
Solution S1606
When you set a rollover component to link from a frame, and that page is previewed, it returns an error reporting that the page cannot be found. If you try to unlink that link after the unsuccessful preview, NetObjects Fusion will crash.

INSTALLATION

1. When I have preexisting setup files in the Windows/Temp directory, my installation stops.
Solution: S1505
In some cases, when you have installed a previous version of NetObjects Fusion recently, you will receive an error message during installation, reporting that the installer was unable to overwrite files in the Windows/Temp directory. If this occurs, make sure you clean out the Windows/Temp directory on your machine and then run the installer again.

MIGRATION

1. Image fields in internal data objects are lost from sites created in version 2.0x.
Solution: S1278
If you base a new site in NetObjects Fusion 4.0 on a template file created in versions 2.0, 2.01, or 2.02, image fields in internal data objects do not properly retain the path to their source files. If possible, open the .nod file directly in version 4.0 so that you do not lose image paths.

2. Tables in sites created in previous versions change formatting after migration.
Solutions: S1521, S1538
When you migrate a site from a previous version of NetObjects Fusion into NetObjects Fusion 4.0, tables from the existing site will grow slightly in size, and cell alignments may be altered. Also, for tables in sites built in version 3.0, the row height checkbox is checked, fixing the height of the rows in the table. These changes are due to the more precise implementation of table code in the new table tool in version 4.0. The new tool provides more diverse formatting and corrects some inaccuracies in the previous versions' calculation of table sizes in the page layout. If your site contains tables, carefully look over the pages containing tables to verify that the layout and table properties are correct.

3. Global preferences for previous versions are not retained after migration.
Solution: S1522
When you migrate a site from a previous version of NetObjects Fusion into NetObjects Fusion 4.0, global preferences are not kept. This is because some preferences are recorded in version-specific registry settings for the program. When you install a new program, preferences in the registry are set to the program's default settings. For information on which preferences are global and which are not, please refer to the “Preferences” chapter in our User Guide PDF file or in our online help.

4. Assets referenced from the directory of a previous version of NetObjects Fusion are not retained after migration.
Solutions: S1523, S1524
If a site created in a previous version of NetObjects Fusion has referenced assets in any of the subfolders of the original version's installation directory, these assets show up as missing when the file is opened in NetObjects Fusion 4.0. The reason for this is because each version uses a different internal directory structure. To avoid this problem, export your site as a template in the original version. Then, open a new site based on this template in the original version. After saving the new site, open it in NetObjects Fusion 4.0. All the assets show up as expected.

5. Stretch properties are not retained for images in tables migrated from version 2.0x sites.
Solution: S1237
When you migrate version 2.0x site files containing images in tables, and the image display property is set to Stretch, it will be reported as Normal in NetObjects Fusion 4.0. To fix this problem, select the Stretch option, and then either reselect the Normal option or select the Restore Original Size option from the Object menu.

6. When I migrate a site to NetObjects Fusion 4.0, I cannot edit my Object HTML Inside Tag content for text boxes.
Solution: S1608
NetObjects Fusion 4.0 no longer has the Inside Tag field option for text boxes. If you placed any content in this field while using a previous version of NetObjects Fusion, you will not be able to edit this content in version 4.0. Before you migrate a site to version 4.0, place any scripts or custom code in the Before or After Tag fields for text boxes.

ACTIONS

1. Inline sounds set to play by using actions return error messages in my browser.
Solution: S1491
If you have a sound set to Inline on a page, and you set an action to send a Play message to that sound, you may get error messages from Netscape or Microsoft 4.x browsers. You can avoid these messages by implementing this kind of functionality using the Headspace Beatnik actions that come bundled with NetObjects Fusion 4.0.

2. When I attach an action to an object embedded in text or in table cells, the object's alignment is wrong.
Solution S1214
When you attach an action to any element embedded in a text box or a table cell, the text wrap feature does not function around that element, and the element is given its own line. At this time, there is no workaround available for this behavior.

ASSETS

1. Background assets are always marked as In Use.
Solution: S1230
Background images and background sounds are always shown as In Use in Assets view, even if those options are disabled in the Layout Properties. To remove these assets, you must manually delete them from the Assets view.

2. The pointer indicates that files can be dragged and dropped from Windows Explorer to the Assets view of NetObjects Fusion, but it doesn't work.
Solution: S1507
When you try to drag and drop a file from Windows Explorer to the Assets view, the pointer indicates that this can be done. However, this functionality is not supported in NetObjects Fusion for Windows. To add a file to the Assets list, go to the Assets view and choose the New button from the blue control bar, or select New File Asset from the Assets menu.

BROWSER COMPATIBILITY

1. Some HTML output does not work correctly in beta releases of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0.
Solution: S1527
NetObjects Fusion output may not function as expected when you view pages in a beta release of Internet Explorer 5.0 (its current availability). Beta software by definition is incomplete, and its functionality may change as bugs are fixed. Output from NetObjects Fusion cannot be adapted to beta software that still contains bugs. Some issues that you may notice in IE 5.0 beta releases are:

  • Set Clip actions do not function and return JavaScript(void) errors in IE 5.0 beta releases.
  • Bring Forward/Send Backward, Bring to Front/Send to Back, and Set Z-Position do not function in IE 5.0 beta releases.

2. Background sound files return errors or do not play in Netscape Navigator.
Solution: S1535
Along with other sample files, NetObjects Fusion ships with several .au and .wav files. If you use these file types as background sounds on a page, they might cause errors when you preview the page in Netscape Navigator 3.01 through 3.03. Netscape Navigator 3.04 handles these files correctly. However, Netscape Navigator 4.04 and 4.05 do not play .wav or .midi files as background sounds.

COMPONENTS

1. My image is not displayed correctly in the Time-Based Picture component.
Solution: S1203
The times for showing images in the Time-Based Picture component must be assigned in chronological order. If, for example, you set an image to display at 10 a.m. in the parameters list before you set another image to display at 8 a.m., the images will display in the incorrect order.

2. When I migrate my site from version 2.0x, I get an error saying, “DynaButton.cab not found.”
Solutions: S1195, S1516
DynaButtons that have been migrated from NetObjects Fusion 2.0x will report the error “DynaButton.cab not found.” Because of a change in the component's structure, this file is no longer needed or used. However, it is still tracked by the older version of the component, though the DynaButtons will function normally. To eliminate the error, remove the DynaButton.cab file from your assets list, or delete and reinstall the DynaButtons component.

3. The Message Board component returns a JavaScript error when I click the Reply button.
This JavaScript error occurs only in Netscape Navigator 3.01. No other version of Netscape Navigator returns this error.

4. The Screen Door component does not function correctly from Microsoft Active Server Pages.
Solutions: S1228, S1231
If you have published your site to an ASP server and view the site in Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.01 for Macintosh, a redirect takes you to the corresponding Netscape Navigator 4.0 pages. Also, when you use the Screen Door component with a site that uses frames, ASP code displays in right frames in Netscape browsers.

5. DynaButtons do not function correctly when used with TickerTape and the CSS Positioning and Layers publishing option.
Solution: S1218
DynaButtons do not currently function correctly under the following circumstances:

  • DynaButtons and TickerTape are on the same page.
  • HTML output is set to CSS Positioning and Layers.
  • The publish output structure is set to By Asset Type.

Change any one of these circumstances to fix the problem.

6. Some components do not accept frame targets properly.
Solution: S1217
The following NetObjects Fusion Components do not accept frame targets:

  • Time-Based Picture
  • TickerTape
  • Ad Banner

Because these components are Java applets, to accept targets they must have a specific target parameter. None of these applets have this parameter at this time.

7. The Go Menu component does not link correctly in Netscape 4.x when CSS Layers are used.
Solution: S1526
Go Menu returns JavaScript errors in Netscape 4.x when you publish a page containing the Go Menu using the CSS Positioning and Layers or CSS Layers HTML output option. You must publish the Go Menu with either the Nested Tables option, the Regular Tables option, or CSS Positioning alone.

8. Netscape LiveWire components do not seem to work.
Solution: S1528
The Netscape LiveWire components shipped with the NetObjects Fusion ProPack are not supported in NetObjects Fusion 4.0.

9. The Go Menu component does not link correctly when viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0.
Solution: S1536
Due to JavaScript handling errors in Internet Explorer 3.0, the Go Menu does not function correctly when you use frames and view the page in Internet Explorer 3.0. Only the first selected internal link will function correctly; the next selected link does not function.

10. With some components, I can't get accented characters to show correctly in text display areas.
Solutions: S1539, S1541
Certain components, including SiteMapper and TickerTape, do not allow accented characters in their text display areas. Any accented characters you enter are displayed as the question mark (?) character instead.

11. The Screen Door component does not function correctly in Internet Explorer 3.0.
Solution: S1543
Internet Explorer 3.0 does not support the JavaScript redirects that are used by the Screen Door component. Therefore, this component will not function correctly when viewed in Internet Explorer 3.0. You must view JavaScript redirects in Internet Explorer 3.01 or 3.02 (these versions do support JavaScript redirects).

12. My Ad Banner component does not initialize the first image in my sequence.
Solution: S1221
When viewed in a browser, the images in the Ad Banner component may not start with your first assigned image. All images remain in the correct sequence, but the starting image can vary from session to session.

13. I cannot copy and paste the Screen Door component.
Solution: S1255
If you copy and paste the Screen Door component, NetObjects Fusion returns the error “Only one Screen Door is allowed per page,” even if you have pasted the component on a different page. To place a Screen Door component on another page, you must use the Screen Door component tool on the NetObjects Fusion Component toolbar.

14. Both the Screen Door dialog box and its page placement are incorrect after I undo a cut.
Solution: S1509
If you place a Screen Door on your page and then select it and cut it, when you try to undo the cut, an incorrect dialog box appears. If this dialog box is canceled, the Screen Door is moved on your page to the location of the last mouse click.

15. I can't place the Go Menu and Form Handler components on the same page.
Solution: S1622
The Form Handler component does not function correctly if it is in the same form area as the Go Menu component (the submission always fails and the webinfo.txt file is not updated). Make sure that the Go Menu is not in the same form area as the Form Handler.

16. I cannot use apostrophes or quotes in my page names when I use SiteMapper.
Solution: S1607
When you use apostrophes (') or quote marks (") in page names, SiteMapper will not function in the published site. The browser will return a JavaScript error and the component will fail to run.

17. When I delete a component from a Web site, the component is still visible in Publish view.
Solution: S1621
When you delete components from a Web site, the component assets remain in use, and the components' folders are retained in Publish view.

DATABASES

1. NetObjects Fusion 4.0 returns a “File is not in expected format” error when connecting to Microsoft Excel 97 Workbook files.
Solution: S1282
NetObjects Fusion 4.0 does not support ISAM connectivity to Excel Workbook files saved in the Excel 97 format. If you save a file as an Excel 95 file, or if you choose ODBC data source as the connection protocol, then Excel 97 files can be accessed through the external data object. For more information, see the related Usage Note in the Support area.

2. Some Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access data format types are not supported in external data objects.
Solution: S1275
Some field format types in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access are not supported in external data objects. These field formats include money and date/time. This is true for all field format options. You must change the cell format for these data format types to regular numbers or text before importing the spreadsheet or workbook as an external data object.

3. Any number longer than nine digits in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet is converted to a garbage number when using external data objects.
Solution: S1212
If you have an Excel spreadsheet that contains numbers of nine or more digits, the numbers will be changed to garbage numbers if they are imported into NetObjects Fusion using the external data objects tool. For example, the number 123456789 is converted to -53922229.88. This field type will also be reported incorrectly as “Money.”

4. When I publish stacked pages with data fields, they do not display as they should.
Solution: S1215
Data fields on stacked pages can publish incorrectly after stacked pages are first created. This will occur if you do not view the stacked page in Page view before publishing, and it can happen to both internal and external data objects. Always make sure you view the stacked-page layout before publishing a newly created data list from an existing data object.

5. Data fields are not supported inside text boxes or tables on stacked pages.
Solution: S1247
Using tables or text boxes to hold data fields is not supported in NetObjects Fusion. These elements are processed as objects instead of as containers when placed on a stacked page, so your data fields will not update properly when contained within a table or text box.

6. Copying and pasting embedded elements into a data field returns a warning dialog box.
Solution: S1246
If you paste text with embedded objects into a data field, you get a warning message that says that the pasted text exceeds the size of the layout. This warning message is inaccurate; copying and pasting embedded elements into a data field is not supported, so your paste will not occur.

FORM ELEMENTS

1. Form elements in text boxes or table cells show incorrect palette options.
Solution: S1216
When multiple form fields are placed within a text box or table cell, and these objects are selected simultaneously, the multiobject palette shows incorrect alignment options. You must align each form element separately within a text box or table cell.

IMAGES AND STYLES

1. Copied and cropped images do not properly accept the Stretch display option.
Solution: S1236
When you copy an image that has been cropped, applying the stretch display option does not take effect. You must move the image handles before you can properly use the Stretch option when generating the page.

2. When I switch to Style view, the cursor remains as an hourglass.
Solution: S1497
When you switch from another view to the Style view, and your cursor is placed over the right pane of the screen, the pointer will not automatically refresh to the arrow icon, even though the process of switching views is complete. Move your pointer to the left pane or over the blue control bar to make the pointer return to the arrow icon.

3. Transparency in some style images conflicts with anti-aliased text.
Solution: S1537
When you use transparency colors in style images or other images, choose colors carefully so that font anti-aliasing will work correctly. Anti-aliasing creates a gradient between two colors, and NetObjects Fusion uses a fixed color palette to generate images automatically. So if you're anti-aliasing text against the transparency color and the colors in the image are too close in value to the transparency color, and NetObjects Fusion may assign portions of the image as transparent when that is not what you intended. Test all images that use transparency with your anti-aliased text color before publishing your site

4. Changes made to style attributes do not always show immediately in Page view.
Solution: S1248
If you change SiteStyle attributes, such as the text color in a button or banner, these changes do not always show up immediately in Page view. You may need to switch several times between Page and Style views before the change displays and publishes correctly.

5. Custom names for navigation bar and banner images do not show up when the page is published.
Solution: S1501
If you create a custom name for a banner or button and you do not view the page in Page view before publishing, the change will not take affect when you publish the page. To make sure the publish parameters update properly, view the page in Page view after changing the name and before publishing.

6. When I change a style via the Style menu, my style sheets do not update.
Solution: S1635
If you edit a style by selecting the Edit option in the Style menu, the changes you make are not reflected in the style sheet. Style sheets are updated only when you access the editing dialog box for the respective element by double-clicking on the element in the right pane of the Style view.

7. Each time I preview my site, NetObjects Fusion recreates the auto-generated images.
Solution: S1636
When you preview your site, instead of overwriting autogenerated images in the preview directory, NetObjects Fusion recreates the autogenerated images. For every subsequent preview, it creates an additional set of images in the Preview/Autogen directory, with _2, _3, etc., after the names.

IMPORT

1. Some scripts do not import, even when they are located in NetObjects Fusion-accessible locations.
Solutions: S1003, S1544
If you are importing an HTML page, some scripts are not imported, even when they exist in areas that are supported in the Page HTML dialog box. This includes JavaScript events located inside the Body tag, as well as Center tags located at the beginning of the body content, before the page content begins.

2. Image maps are not imported when I import an HTML file.
Solution: S1451
If you are importing an HTML page or a site that contains image maps, these image maps will not import properly in NetObjects Fusion. The image itself is imported, but any hot spots must be recreated using the hot spot tool from the Standard toolbar.

3. Sometimes duplicate home pages (index files) are created when I import a remote site.
Solution: S1623
NetObjects Fusion creates a duplicate of the index.html file if the index.html file is not specified in the Import Site dialog box (that is, if the path to the Home page is entered in the format “www.sitename.com”). To create only one home page, use the format “www.sitename.com/index.html.”

4. Anchor links are not imported when I import an RTF file.
Solution: S1249
If you use the RTF drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste feature to import text with anchor links, those links will not be imported into NetObjects Fusion. You must create links inside NetObjects Fusion directly.

JAVA AND ACTIVEX

1. ActiveX Controls with sources files do not function correctly after publishing.
Solution: S1013
ActiveX Controls that require source files (e.g., Adobe Acrobat PDF or Macromedia Shockwave Flash files) do not publish correctly unless you first add the source file using Assets view. Click the Files tab in Assets view, and then click the New button. Give the source file a name and then browse for it. Be sure to select Always Publish File. Then, in Publish view, put the source file in the same folder as the .ocx file. Since this requires assets pathing, you need to publish either locally or remotely to test these kinds of ActiveX Controls.

2. Some ActiveX Controls cause errors or can cause NetObjects Fusion to crash.
Solutions: S1499, S1500, S1515, S1517, S1519, S1520, S1297
NetObjects Fusion lets customers place ActiveX Controls on the page and visually edit their parameters. However, NetObjects does not have control over the quality of the various ActiveX Controls (.ocx files) that are installed on your system. For example, the following ActiveX Controls are known to cause problems in NetObjects Fusion 4.0:

  • The MapViewProperty Control can cause NetObjects Fusion to crash when you place the control on the page.
  • The Microsoft Forms 2.0 Frame Control can cause NetObjects Fusion to crash when you place the control on the page.
  • The AxBrowser Control can cause NetObjects Fusion to crash on some machines when the control is in a text box or table cell and you close the site file.
  • The Adobe Acrobat Control can cause NetObjects Fusion to crash on some machines when the control is in a text box or table cell and you close the site file.
  • Early versions of the Real Media Player ActiveX Controls return the error “Unable to insert the specified control dialog box,” meaning the control is unable to be placed
  • The Multipage ActiveX Control returns error “Unable to insert the specified control dialog box,” meaning the control is unable to be placed.

If an ActiveX Control cannot be placed on a page or causes NetObjects Fusion to crash, revert the site to the last saved backup file. To place a control that does not work correctly using the ActiveX tool, create the HTML required to place an ActiveX Control (using any editor such as Microsoft's ControlPad utility), and then place that HTML file on the NetObjects Fusion page using the External HTML tool.

3. JavaBeans do not function in all versions of Netscape Navigator browsers
Solution: S1518
To view JavaBeans properly in Netscape browsers, you must use Navigator 4.06 or later. Earlier versions of Navigator will not display the Beans.

4. JavaBeans did not import with my template.
Solution: S1625
Currently, importing a template file that contains JavaBeans does not automatically transfer the Beans to the Beans folder in the NetObjects Fusion 4.0 directory structure. Instead, you must copy all Beans used in a particular site file to the Beans folder before importing the template that contains those Beans. If the Beans are not in the folder when you open the template, they will not be imported and you will have to placed them again in NetObjects Fusion pages.

5. JavaBeans return JavaScript errors in Internet Explorer 4.x when I set the set the color action to black.
Solution: S1222
If you use any action where you can set a color on a JavaBean, and then set that color to black, Internet Explorer 4.x returns a JavaScript error. All other colors function correctly.

PUBLISHING

1. My component assets publish on the server even though the new incremental publish feature indicates that they will not.
Solution: S1534
NetObjects Fusion now offers the option of publishing only selected site sections or individual pages. Because many component assets are tracked at the site level, these elements are published to the server regardless of whether you publish the page that contains them. The components that exhibit this behavior include:

  • Ad Banner
  • MessageBoard
  • SiteMapper
  • DynaButtons
  • Rollover Picture

2. Imported sites initially do not allow me to choose a Flat directory structure.
Solution: S1239
If you have imported a site consisting of HTML files and want to use the Flat directory structure option in Publish Setup, you must first select the Clear All Customizations button in the Directory Structure tab.

3. Banner images do not show in Publish view when I use a site based on the Blank Site template.
Solution: S1513
If you start a site based on the Blank Site template (by choosing New Blank Site), the banner image does not automatically show in Publish view so you can manipulate its name and file location. To make the banner image show in Publish view, delete the banner object and place it again using the banner tool on the Standard toolbar.

4. I get many TCP/IP errors when I publish a site.
Solution: S1609
When you publish a site, the Remote Transfer Results can return many TCP/IP errors when passive mode FTP is required for the server but has not been selected. It can also occur if there are many time outs on the server side, or if files cannot be located locally on your hard drive. For more detailed information, please search the Knowledgebase for solution ID S1609.

5. I cannot customize the directory structure when my HTML Output is set to By Asset Type.
Solution: S1626
When you create a custom directory structure or custom file names, the structure reverts to the default By Asset Type configuration. To customize the directory structure under the Setup/Directory Structure options, choose By Site Section or Flat, and then customize the directories.

TABLES

1. When I import linked text from an RTF file to a table, the font is set to the default setting.
Solution: S1226
If you have an RTF file containing linked text, and all text is formatted to a specific font type and size, the linked text is automatically assigned the default setting (12 pt. Times New Roman) when that text is either copied and pasted or dragged and dropped into a table cell. This automatic formatting only occurs in tables, not in text boxes.

2. With some row or column selections, embedded objects are not deleted when a row or column is deleted.
Solution: S1224
When a particular row or column has a cell that spans an adjacent row or column, the selection mechanism treats these cells as part of the same row or column. Though a message appears asking if you want to delete the embedded objects, the embedded objects are not deleted if you select Yes. Selecting Undo to reverse the row or column deletion causes the embedded object to display in a different cell than it did originally. To delete embedded objects under these circumstances, you must select the embedded element and delete it individually.

TEXT AND LINKS

1. Text does not retain inserted HTML when I copy and paste it in NetObjects Fusion.
Solution S1223
If a selection of text contains inserted HTML code that you added using the Insert HTML option, and this selection of text is copied and pasted into a new text box, the inserted HTML is not retained in the copied selection.

2. Anchor links are not retained when I import an RTF file.
Solution S1249
If you are using the RTF drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste feature to import text with anchor links, those links will not be imported into NetObjects Fusion, though they will appear in the page. You need to remove these anchor links and create them again in the imported text.

3. I cannot set Show Text Invisibles to Hide.
Solution S1510
If you select the Show Text Invisibles option in the Text menu, text invisibles will continue to be shown even after you deselect this option.

4. Sometimes selecting text causes scrolling problems in the display.
Solution S1514
When you initially select a string of text by clicking and dragging, sometimes the selection will snap to a larger selection than the one defined by the cursor's beginning and ending points. If this occurs and the selection is required to scroll off the visible area of the page, the scroll cannot complete and the display jumps back and forth within a defined area. To scroll and select text normally, make sure that the initial selection of text as you start to drag is consistent with the placement of the cursor.

5. My text navigation bar shows pages that I set to Don't Publish in Site View.
Solution S1601
Text navigation bars continue to show page names of pages that have been set to Don't Publish in Site View.

6. I cannot use the backspace key inside the Internal Link dialog box.
Solution S1618
The backspace key does not function when the cursor is placed in the Page select field in the Internal Link dialog box. To delete text, select the text you want to delete and type over it, or press the Delete key rather than the backspace key.

7. My quote marks are converted to single quotes when I use them in an external link path.
Solution: S1620
Any external link path containing quote marks (") is published with all quote marks changed to single quote marks ('). To insert additional attributes in the External Link tag, click the HTML button in the External Link dialog box, and enter the attribute in the Inside Tag field.

UNDO/REDO

1. Undo/Redo does not change the DynaButton properties.
Solution: S1054
To alter any DynaButton property, you must select the property and change its value manually.

2. Undo/Redo does not reverse added images in any components that use images.
Solution: S1238
The Undo option changes only the size of a component image. The affected components include:

  • Ad Banner
  • Rotating Picture
  • Picture Rollover
  • Time-Based Picture
  • DynaButtons
