Netscape 4.x Windows vs. Macintosh

Below are screen shots comparing some of the elements we have looked at in this website. First and formost, fonts.  For both of the following screenshots, Netscape 4.x was set to display Times New Roman 12pt

Netscape Navigator 4.x for Macintosh

Netscape Navigator 4.x for Windows

In general fonts of the same point size *display* about two to three point sizes smaller on the Macintosh platform. Or, if you like, two to three point sizes larger on a Windows machine.  So when you are viewing your site on the Macintosh platform, setting the default display font within the Netscape browser to 14 pt makes the text look the same size as 12pt on Windows
