The virtual and absolute directories for bbs\cgi-bin\ need to be specified

After you have published the site containing the Message Board component, you need to specify the virtual and absolute directories to the cgi-bin directory. To do this:

  1. In Netscape, go to the Administration page for your server.
  2. Click on the Programs Buttons and then on the ‘CGI Directory' link.
  3. On the resulting page, you need to enter the complete path to the bbs/cgi-bin directory on your server. You will need to enter in both the virtual directory as well as the absolute directory to the cgi-bin.
    Two examples of the more popular paths are:

         C:/Netscape/Suitespot/docs/sitename/bbs/cgi-bin
         C:/Netscape/Enterprise/wwwroot/sitename/bbs/cgi-bin.

4.  Click OK
