Subject: !! Warning !! META EXPIRES

From: Michael Sorbera

Just wanted to warn all my fellow netizens that IE browser build 4.72.2106 or higher (yes, even 4.72.3110.8 4.01) does NOT support the <meta http-equiv=”Expires” content=”Tue, 20 Aug 1996 14:25:27 GMT”> tag.

Works fine on all NS browsers and the older MS ones.

MS says it supports it, but in actuality, if the user is downloading about 65K or more data, it ignores it and gets the cached data.

Yes, I know the user can select “every visit to the page”, but that´s not the goal here.

I´m agressively pursuing theis. I´ll let the thread know when I get an answer of a fix

(... and I´ll post that answer and / or fix here as well - Workbench Guy)
