Most of the newer browsers behave themselves pretty well when it comes to the formatting of color on list elements. However the older browsers do this a little differently:
The above example is from Netscape 3.01. As you can see, though the Ordered list displays correctly, the Unordered list retains the global color setting for the page which is set in the BODY of the HTML file. In Netscape 4.51 and IE 4 and 5, the same list is formatted as it appears in the NetObjects Fusion 4.0 layout:
