Unordered lists look very different across the browsers as you can see. First of all, only Netscape understands and supports the two other TYPE attributes, Square and Disc. IE interprets these identically. As you can also see, the browsers also tend to interpret the spacing on the lists a little differently. Though this only manifests itself in tables when you are using NetObjects Fusion version 4.0, this can be a little bit disconcerting the first time you see it. As it turns out this has to do with the order of the HTML tags and how the tags close. Fortunately there is a solution to make all the browsers use the same spacing, though it involves a little tweaking of the HTML code in the tables themselves. |
