USING HTML TAGS TO FORMAT CONTRIBUTED TEXT

When you want to use bold, italic, bullets, or other formatting in the content you are contributing, you can use HTML formatting tags in the text you enter in the NetObjects Content Contributor window. Then, in the final published Web pages containing your content, the words and paragraphs you tagged will appear as formatted text. You can type the HTML tags directly into the NetObjects Content Contributor multi-line text fields as though you were formatting text in an HTML document. Formatting only applies to text in multi-line text field.

Not all HTML tags are supported in NetObjects Content Contributor. For a list of supported tags see below.

In the following tutorial, you will learn how to contribute text with bold and italic attributes using HTML tags. It is based on the assumption that you already know how to contribute unformatted text as described in NetObjects Content Contributor's online help.

Formatting Words in NetObjects Content Contributor

Log into NetObjects Content Contributor and choose a site and a folder to which to contribute.
The folder must contain a multi-line text field.

In a multi-line text field, type <B>Summary</B> and press Return.

Type We're seeking an energetic team player with a <I>"can do"</I> attitude to join our HR Department

    Save the record.

If you want to see how the formatted text will appear on a Web page, use NetObjects Content Contributor's Preview functionality to preview the site, or open the page in NetObjects TeamFusion.
