“I started developing Web businesses almost two years ago with a small e-commerce site called MyHorseStable.com. InfoHorse.com is a continuation of our interest in horses and the people who respect horses and work with them.
“We decided to build a directory of superior professional Horsemen and include plenty of content from the experts themselves. as the way to build traffic to the site. The project was in development for about three months, due to the restrictions of this demographic and design issues that changed at the last minute. The site needed to be very easy to navigate (horse people are new to high tech), and pages need to load very quickly, as many of our people are using old browsers and slow modems.
“We had just completed the site within one week of our promised launch date when, due to a book I read on Web design, I decided to change it from a static site in which the pages needed to be manually updated, to a dynamic database site, so the pages would always display the latest information. I was able to accomplish this by importing the HTML and scripts from my active server pages (ASP) into my NetObjects Fusion pages. Next time, though, I may use the Microsoft ASP component for NetObjects Fusion.
“The site successfully integrates dynamically served graphics, articles, and directories. The entire site is actually made up of a few pages that dynamically serve hundreds of pages! Thanks to NetObjects Fusion, I was able to build the new site quickly and integrate the database seamlessly, so we were able to launch it on time, making our advertisers very happy.”
