Can I run NetObjects Fusion 9 and previous versions on the same computer? You can run NetObjects Fusion 9 on the same computer as any previous version of NetObjects Fusion software. To help you easily use more than one installation of Fusion on the same computer, we have designed the “Launch Utility” tool. The Launch Utility can be found under Start > Programs > NetObjects > Launch Utility.
Does the upgrade require a previous version of Fusion to be installed? The Upgrade version of NetObjects Fusion 9 does not require that any previous version be installed on the machine. If you are upgrading from versions 7, 7.5 or 8, you are prompted for your 9 serial number followed by your versions 7, 7.5 or 8 serial number. If you do happen to have versions 7, 7.5 or 8 installed on the same machine you are installing version 9, the installer does not prompt you for the versions 7, 7.5 or 8 serial number.
Where can I find my Fusion 9 serial number? The Fusion 9 serial number is located on the CD sleeve shipped in the box, or is included in the order confirmation email that you received from the NetObjects Online Store.
How can I bring my sites built in previous versions into NetObjects Fusion 9? Websites created in NetObjects Fusion 3, 4, 5, MX, 7, 7.5, and 8 can be migrated to Fusion 9 using these instructions. For more information, view the Readme.html file located in your NetObjects Fusion 9/Readme directory. How can I import a site I already have in HTML? There are two different methods of importing your website into NetObjects Fusion. You can perform a Local Import, or a Remote Import. You can choose to import an existing website from the New Site option under the File menu. For specific instructions on how to perform these import options, see chapter 3 in the User Guide, Creating and Managing Sites and chapter 5, Importing Sites and Documents.
I opened my site in Fusion 9 and now I can’t open it in an older version of Fusion. Why? NOD files opened with NetObjects Fusion 9 will not be backward compatible with previous versions of Fusion. We strongly recommend you make a backup copy of all NOD files prior to opening them with version 9. Creating a backup will ensure that you have the capability to open them with the previous version in the event you wish to do so.
