Meta tags are special texts that are inserted into the <head> area of your Web pages. Meta tags may include information about the author of the Web page, contact information for inquiries about your Web page, general descriptions of the page, etc.
For example, you might want to include keywords to promote your site with the various search engines, the site author’s name, or copyright information. This information is not seen by your site visitors in browsers, it only helps search engines to establish what information is most important on your site page.
NetObjects Fusion offers you the possibility to insert Meta tags either globally, or on each page. It is recommended that you use different Meta description tags for each page.
It is very important that you insert the correct keywords and descriptions in the Meta tags field, because the search engines will first verify the information that is stored in the Head area of your Web page.
Using NetObjects Fusion, you can set Meta tag properties at the page level or at the site level.
To set Meta tags on a single page:
1. In Site view, select the page in which you want to set Meta tags.
2. In the Page properties panel, click the Meta tag button.
3. NetObjects Fusion offers you the following Meta tags options:

Let’s see some examples.
Here’s a sample site example we are going to use in order to better understand the Meta tags concept. We’ll create a new blank site for a travel agency. To the home page, we’ll add a new page that we’ll name Australia. To this page, we’ll add another three pages with specific locations and tourist attractions in Australia.
Open NetObjects Fusion and create a new site: My Travel Agency.
The new site will open in Site view.
