Myst III: Exile Web Site Illustrates Endless Possibilities of NetObjects Fusion

Redwood City, Calif., May 30, 2001—NetObjects, Inc., a leading provider of e-business solutions and online services, is pleased to announce its selection of the Myst III: Exile Web site (www.myst3.com) as the Site of the Month winner for May.

Myst III: Exile is the newest version of the popular Myst video game by Ubisoft Entertainment, Inc. “Myst is the top selling PC title of all time, and www.myst3.com is one of the most highly trafficked game sites,” said Dan Irish, producer for the Myst/Riven product line.

NetObjects selected www.myst3.com site for its dynamic and customized look. The www.myst3.com Web site creates a dark and mysterious atmosphere rich in graphics and pictures without compromising its functionality. On the Web, www.myst3.com is as easy and quick to navigate, as it is visually appealing.

“We’ve had a great response to the new www.myst3.com Web site,” said Irish. “The site’s strongest factor is its ease of use. We’ve also hidden a lot of details in our site which gives viewers a better understanding of the story and perspective for the game.”

Irish emphasized the Myst III: Exile Web site as the most important tool in the product launch. “We have very vocal fan communities,” Irish said. “It’s important for us to build up our ‘word of mouth,’ and before the launch the Web site was our only venue to establish this kind of detailed exposure.

Given the important role that the Myst III Web site plays in the promotion of the game, the team producing Myst III: Exile needed to find a Web authoring product that could handle the size and complexities of the site, but that would also be fast and easy to use. Gordon Currie, of Eldoren Consulting, who built the site, selected NetObjects Fusion as the solution to create a professional site in a minimal amount of time. “NetObjects Fusion has literally saved me hundreds of hours over the years,” said Currie.

Small businesses and consulting firms alike are increasingly finding that high-end development tools, which require hours of coding, are not ideal given the current economic climate in which it is important to control spending. Businesses today need solutions that are not only affordable outright, but that save staff time by being quick and easy to use.

NetObjects recently released NetObjects Fusion MX, the newest version of its award-winning software. NetObjects Fusion is a leading Web site building solution with more than 10 million copies licensed. NetObjects Fusion is designed to provide an easy way to build robust business Web sites. From planning, building, and managing a Web site, to promoting and growing an online business quickly and effectively, NetObjects Fusion delivers.
